Essentials covers the foundations: monitoring, security, support, and maintenance. Your systems are watched around the clock, patched on schedule, and backed up properly. When something breaks, you call us and an engineer picks up.

24/7 monitoring and response

Every device in your business is monitored around the clock. If a server goes down at 3am, the alert fires immediately. We catch problems before your team arrives on Monday morning.

Essential Eight security controls

MFA enforced. Patches applied within 48 hours. Admin privileges restricted. Macros locked down. Application control enabled. Five of the eight ACSC controls implemented at Level 1, included as standard with every Essentials plan.

8 hours of support per month

Remote and telephone support from our Sydney team. When you call, you get an engineer who knows your setup. Not a call centre, not a ticket queue. Eight hours of included support covers most small businesses comfortably.

Microsoft 365 management

User setup and removal. Password resets. Shared mailbox configuration. License management. We handle the day-to-day administration of your M365 tenant so you do not have to figure it out yourself.

Questions about Assured Essentials

What happens if I use more than 8 hours of support?

Eight hours covers most small businesses comfortably. If you regularly need more, that is usually a sign you have outgrown Essentials. We will let you know if Assured Business (which includes unlimited support) is a better fit. There are no surprise overage charges.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. CIO Tech Assured runs on a monthly subscription. We keep clients by doing a good job, not by locking them in. You can review the terms in our Master Subscription Agreement.

What security is included at this tier?

Every Assured tier, including Essentials, gets the full Security Stack: Essential Eight controls at Level 1, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and 3-2-1 immutable backups. Security is not a premium add-on. It is the standard.

How do I get started?

Start with a $990 IT Audit. We spend half a day on-site reviewing your environment, then deliver a written risk report with prioritised recommendations. That report becomes the roadmap for your 90-day onboarding into Assured.
