Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect personal information, and your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
1. Who we are
CIO Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 39 660 646 935) of 217/14 Lexington Drive, Bella Vista NSW 2153 (“CIO Tech”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:
- Submit a contact form, request an IT Audit, or complete the IT maturity assessment
- Subscribe to updates or request a proposal
- Engage with our chatbot or email us directly
- Attend a meeting booked through our site
Information collected may include your name, business name, role, email address, phone number, and details about your IT environment relevant to the enquiry.
We also collect limited technical information automatically, described in Section 5 below.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and deliver the services you requested
- Send relevant updates about our services (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Improve our website, products, and client experience
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that support our business operations, under contractual privacy obligations, including:
- GoHighLevel. CRM, email marketing, SMS, and form submissions (data stored in the United States)
- Microsoft. Email, meeting scheduling (Microsoft Bookings), and website analytics (Clarity)
- Google. Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
- Cloudflare. Website hosting and security
These providers may store data outside Australia. By submitting information to us, you consent to this transfer.
5. Website analytics and tracking
Google Analytics 4. We use GA4 to understand aggregate website usage. IP addresses are anonymised. No personal information entered into forms is shared with Google.
Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Clarity captures how you interact with our pages, such as the buttons you click and the pages you visit, but does not capture your personal information. Form fields containing personal data are masked by default. Data is processed by Microsoft in accordance with their privacy policy. You can opt out via browser Do Not Track signals.
Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cookieless, aggregate traffic statistics. No personal tracking.
GoHighLevel. Our CRM platform may set cookies to track visits from known contacts (those who have previously submitted a form) to help us personalise follow-up. You can clear cookies in your browser to remove this tracking.
6. Cookies
We use first-party and third-party cookies for analytics and basic site function. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some site features.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes encrypted transport (TLS), access controls, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security concern, contact us immediately.
8. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Make a privacy complaint

9. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be notified to active clients by email.
